New Rice variety invention

Local rice varieties and seeds of local origin are the vital part of the vegetation for the agro ecological balance and its unique contribution. LoCOS, believe that the conservation of these seed and grain including new rice variety invention is important. Rice breeding is very potential to develop location specific new rice seeds that are climate resilient, organic responsive and pest resistant. One farmer demonstrated this potential breeding 10 lines but organization was able to train other farmers on farmer’s led rice breeding.
